Shieldstream is a family-owned team that treats digital safety and security as a core principle, not an afterthought. Big Tech blazes ahead recklessly and only addresses these issues when forced to by regulation or the threat of public backlash. We start from the opposite end.
We filter harmful content, ads, and trackers at the network level, so every device in your home is protected with one quick setting change and nothing to install. We started Shieldstream to build the kind of protection we wanted for our own families: simple to turn on, honest about what it does, and yours to control. We're a small team, bootstrapped, building Shieldstream the slow and deliberate way. We don't think of ourselves as just a team, though. Every family that runs Shieldstream is part of it. Everyone here owns a share of the company and a real stake in the product, and we all run Shieldstream on our own home networks every day. We build what we trust to protect our own families first, and ship it to yours only once it has earned that trust. By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan you agree to these terms. We reserve the right to update them at any time; continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. You may use Shieldstream only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service, redistribute access credentials, or use the platform to facilitate illegal activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements without prior notice. This section is our privacy policy. It explains what we collect and why. What we collect. To create and secure your account we collect your email address; sign-in uses a one-time code sent to that address, and we do not store passwords. To run the service, our resolvers process the DNS queries from your network, and we keep minimal activity logs so your dashboard can show what was allowed or blocked. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. How we use it. We use this information only to operate the service: authenticating you, applying your filtering policies, showing your activity, and billing your subscription. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the providers we need to run the service, such as Stripe for payments. Children. Shieldstream is purchased and managed by an adult account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the service filters the devices on your network without requiring accounts for the people using them. Your choices. You can access or delete your account and its data at any time by emailing us at the address below. Deleting your account removes your account data and stops further processing. Shieldstream is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees that the service will block every threat or be available without interruption. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shieldstream and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
